<container>'s "combination" parameter

Does anyone know what this "combination" parameter does ? I saw it in the "Example 2 datacapture.cfg" file but it was unexplained in the definition. (I can't read DTD's for [censored]). is it related to the presentation of the dct form? or somehow in grouping sub-items together?

Say your container contains 3 items, A, B, and C.

If the combination='and', then the user will be presented with all three items.

If the combination='or', then the user will need to choose from among "A", "B", and "C". After making the choice, the user will get that item, and not the others.
