callServer while looping a replicant?

According to FormAPI online documentation at (https://support.interwoven.com/library/manuals/templating/html/formapi1.0/formapi_21.html#SEC21), only one callServer() method can be active at a time. Subsequent calls to callServer() will cancel any previous calls. Does this mean I can only invoke callServer() once in my FormAPI script?

If I want to set value to text fields within a replicant. Each value need to be returned from a server call, can I loop through the replicant and invoke callServer() method multiple times?

I can set value to a text fileld within a replicant if without calling callServer() method. However, if I invoked callServer() multiple times, looks like the subsequent calls are cancelled by previous calls. Is there a work around if I need to make many callServer() to the same cgi multiple times when loading the DCR?

I just come up an alternative solution. Instead of calling callServer() method on each sub-element of a replicant, I concatenate the value of each sub-element as a parameter to the callServer(). I only invoke callServer() once after finished looping the replicant.

Inside the CGI called by the callServer, it needs to split up the concatenated values before setting values to a different sub-elements in the replicant.
