Cross tab or Grid/Table

Hi,

I am new to Birt
I have to create a report and i am confused whether i should use cross tab or table/grid or do i have to use both cross tab and table/grid

I have attached the report format i want.
Have also attached a screen shot of my database table.

In the report i want the count of examination type and load type in the database in the respective columns.

Please help me out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(It would be best if you could create a similar sample report and attach it

)

Hello,

After having a look in your attachement, I am sure that you can create a crosstab and a datacube with 2 groups. In which you can add one dimension 'Yard ID' and in the other on you can add 2 dimensions 'Brake type' and 'Load type'. After that, you can add the sum that you want to show.

let me explain the whole scenario
I want examination and load type to come under brake type.
Now i have two types of brakes for example
for 1 brake type i want to show both exam type and load type and for the other brake type i want only the load type(I know dis sounds a lil cnfusin).

I want to know how i can add 2 sub dimensions under 1 super dimension????????
and can i have only 1 sub dimension for another super dimension????
