You can set a persistent global variable in your report<br />
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>reportContext.setPersistentGlobalVariable("valueOfMyParameter",params["myParameter"].value);</pre>
<br />
and in your chart, onRender you can get that value<br />
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>icsc.getExternalContext().getScriptable().getPersistentGlobalVariable("valueOfMyParameter");</pre>
<br />
And then you can play with this variable in the method from that link. Good luck!
