BIRT report performance analysis?

Hi All,

We have reports that are taking longer than expected. In terms of data access, we can look at our application to understanding how long it takes to get data for our scripted data source, but after that we're a bit unsure of how to understand where time is being spent. In Data Set Join processing? A particular expression? Or something else?

Does anyone have any pointers on how to "profile" a BIRT report to understand where the bulk of processing time is being spent?

You could probably put some custom logging into your script methods to output timestamps or something to help you with figuring out what is happening when and give you a better idea of how long certain things are taking. Just an idea.
