Setting ODA Extension data source' property using BIRT Report Engine(Java).

Hi,
We have developed an ODA extension in which the ODA runtime data source has a parameter say p1. This data source is included in a rptlibrary which itself is included in an rptdesign file. Now setting the data source property p1 using java using the design handle code as mentioned here http://wiki.eclipse.org/Java_-_Build_Dynamic_Table_(BIRT) and http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/forum/index.php/topic/21282-change-birt-build-dynamic-table-deapis-datasource-to-informix-database/ does not work as 'p1' isn't reflected anywhere. i.e. when we try to fetch the property p1 from the properties object which is passed as a parameter in the Connection.java class in ODA runtime, it returns null.

would be great if somebody can suggest where are we going wrong.

To add to the info: the rptdesign file opened as a report runnable doesn't have data source configured it inherits the DS from the rptlibrary.

Hi Jason,
Thanks for the reply. I wished to set the data source' parameter. I did it using the newOdaSource from element factory and then setting that data source as the data source of all the data sets in my rptdesign file. And therefore the properties set in the data source reflected in the data set calls to the oda runtime.
