Exception Handling in Birt Reports

Hii,
How to handle Exceptions in Birt Reports. I want to show some Custom Message to User when an exception occurs in Birt Report ( Like Database Closed Or ResultSet Closed Exceptions ) instead of displaying error.

If you are using the report engine API to generate reports there is a method called getErrors(). You can call this method on the task you used to generate your report. The method gives you a list of errors occured during the report generation.
I don't know of any methods that do not require changes to the java code of the BIRT WebViewer.
