Cannot create iServer Profile

Hi, we are currently running Actuate Report Writer Pro with iServer v10. I have downloaded Report Writer Pro v11 on a trial basis in order to test it out. However, I am unable to create a connection profile for the iServer in the Report Writer, the error message simply says: "Cannot connect to http://[iServerURL]". I have doublechecked against the connection profile in the functioning version and all details are correct.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? Can Report Writer v11 connect to a v10 iServer?

You can only deploy v11 designed report to v11 iserver. You can consider download the v11 iserver to test your report.

OK thanks, do you know if it's possible to download a trial version of V10 Report Writer?

Version 10 is not offered for trial download anymore. If you want this version you will need to contact Actuate Support http://support.actuate.com
Please note that version 10 will be retiring sometime soon. (Q1 2012)
