Birt 2.6 OutOFMemoryError

Hi,

We recently upgraded Birt from 2.3.2 to 2.6.2
We could generate thousands of reports with 2.3.2 without having to restart the server.
However, with 2.6.2 - we get OutOfMemoryError within 200 requests.

Any insights??

Hi Vash,

We too ran into the same issue and as per https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=348845 , the issue has been fixed on BIRT 3.7. This is what we did and worked for us: in org.eclipse.birt.report.engine_2.6.2.r262_v20110214.jar , we replaced/org.eclipse.birt.report.engine/src/org/eclipse/birt/report/engine/script/internal/DataSetScriptExecutor.class with the one from 3.7 taken from org.eclipse.birt.report.engine_3.7.0.v20110603.jar. And then we didn't face the memory leakage issue and hence could generate a lot of reports like earlier.

The above might work for the issue you are facing.
