Repeat header dependent on the output format
matze1328
Hi,
is there a way to avoid repeating the header of a table depending on the output format?
For example: The table header should be repeated in PDF output but not in HTML output.
It's possible to avoid it for any output format using the property 'repeat header' of the table properties.
As far as I know I just can set the repeat header property by scripting on the 'onCreate' event of the table (this.repeatHeader = false). The output format is not known until the 'onRender' event (reportContext.getOutputFormat()).
EDIT:
We're running on an Actuate 11 iServer Enterprise. It looks like that the generation is splittet general into the two task types 'Run Task' and 'Render Task' although the job is scheduled with a final destination outputformat (e.g. 'PDF')
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mathias

That's correct:
If you are running two phase model the output format is only known in the onRender. Doesn't let it set you this property in the onRender event?
Does it work in the BIRT designer preview if you set it in onCreate? (just want to make sure that it's using this property to decide if header should be repeated)

Hi,
it works in the BIRT designer preview if I set the property in the onCreate... so it's the correct property. But it has no effect if it's set in the onRender.
It seems that it's analog to a hide rule definition that have to be set during creation/before factory time.
Maybe there's an application context property set if an Actuate job is scheduled but i didn't find any informations about that.
