Creation of ElementDefns

Hi,
I am currently trying to understand the birt model.

Where are the different ElementDefn added to the MetaDataDirectory's elementNameMap?
I saw that they are added in the MetaDataHandlerImpl$ElementDefnState#parseAttrs(Attributes attrs) method, but these attributes allways seem to be parsed from a .rptdesign file. Where is defined what properties e.g. a ReportItem has?

Ok, I found it. It's defined in the "rom.def" file. The file is read in the DesignEngineImpl#newSessionHandle(ULocale locale) method.
