Http Authentication for Web Service Data Source
twizansk
This question has been asked before but, as far as I can tell, not since version 2.2.1.
Since then, has support for http authentication been added to the BIRT WS data source. I am working against a secure web service and need to provide credentials. I know I can write my own connection class but I'm hoping that's not necessary.
Thanks

No authentication has not been added yet. You will need to use the custom connection class.
I assume you have seen this article?

How is this nowadays? Still no out of the box support?

I don't believe any changes have happened with the Web Service Data Source since the last post in this thread. You could always log an enhancement request in the eclipse.org/birt bugzilla. You might search the reports before you do to find if someone else has requested it already and vote for that report. The BIRT Project team looks at requests and bugs with the most votes, first, when making the new versions.
