Printing issues
kirti1105
Hi,
I am facing some printing issues. My report consists of 3 pages as shown on BIRT Viewer, with vertical scroll bar enabled. But after selecting "print" option, it prints on 5 pages. also the table shows cutted column lines at the bottom and rest gets printed on other page. I m selecting finishing as "Landscape " and need to print on "legal" paper so that it appears presentable.
Kindly suggest me how to overcome this issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Kirti Wankhade

Can you recreate this issue with the sample database and attach the report in here? Thanks!

In BIRT Viewer its shows that report consists of 3 pages. But after printing i m getting 5 pages. So i m attaching the screen shots of all the 3 pages of the report and the scanned copies of print outs. While printing i m using "Print format" as "HTML","finishing" as "landscape" and need to select "legal" as "quality" of paper. But since legal paper is not available i m using a regular paper to take a print out.
I think, there must be some property that i need to set before printing which i m unaware of. Kindly suggest remedy after reviewing all attachments.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Williams,
Sorry! Instead of the 5 page of the print out, the 4th one got attached twice. But anyways the problem is being displayed in the attached pages. Hope these would give clearer idea of the issue i m facing.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Kirti,
For a better control over print layout you might want to consider using a fixed layout and use page size and type to match your requirement. I would also recommend exporting to excel instead of HTML and use Excel's print function to have better control over printing aspects.

Hi Ashwini,
Thanks for the reply. The issue has been resolved using Type as 'Custom' and adjusting the height and width accordingly. According to requirement using excel sheet option is not recommended.
Thanks & Regards,
