Dcr+IE

can anyone plz tell me,if i have a dcri.e an xml file cretaed, how can i view in the internet exploree, right now its giving error. what all changes need to be done........

So, what do you really want to do?
(It would be easier if you gave a little bit more information like the error message, at what stage in the process it occurs etc)

A DCR is just an XML record, remember ' Separate Content from Presentation'.... so it has no 'look', hence you won't se any images, fields, buttons etc when you open a DCR file.

If you on the other hand just mean you want to view the XML code, that should be possible in the later versions of IE (or you could use any text editor....) by just opening the DCR file.

Try copying the iw-home/local/config/datacaptureX.Y.dtd to the same directory as your datacapture.cfg file.

I beieve that usually resolves this problem.

quick fix. Delete the second line that vaildates the dtd. That will show you if it is valid xml. Of course now you are not validating against the dtd, but it will break up the tree right.
