How to plug in BIRT Viewer to a Spring project

Hello all,

I am new to BIRT and I have been successful in running a birt report with data from my spring application.
However, I have a new requirement to have export to rtf functionality on the report.

Search to incorporate this brought me to BIRT Viewer.

I am now trying to embed the Viewer in my jsp so that when the report is executed, its shown to the user in the Birt viewer.
Unfortunately, I am unable to embed the Viewer into my jsp.
I tried using the tag <birt-viewer... but I have lost my way.
I was referring to

Could someone please give me a brief step by step path to achieve this?

What BIRT version are you using? Your only issue is getting a report to show in JSP?
