Open Cursors Exceeded Error in Maximo 7 BIRT Report
vijay_kota
Hi All,
We are running a report which is having huge data .
Created a subdataset inside the open method of a Another Dataset.
Code fetches right result if the record is minimum.
But if number of record is huge that opens many cursors, and are running into the maximum open cursors exceeded Oracle error.
I am using BIRT 2.3.2
Maximo version 7.1.1.7.
Is there any way to control this by scripting...??
Any response appreciated...!!!

Do you have to have it as a subdataset?
Can you use a second dataset and a joint data set?

Can you change the query so that it retrieves the data from both tables?
Sonalp
Can you try adding subDataSet.close(); after the fetch method of subDataSet to close the cursors.
