Hyperlink in BIRT gives HTTP 404 error
peraka
Hi All,
We've a BIRT report which has hyperlinks to generate another report. It works fine in few machines except 1 or 2 machines. It gives "HTTP 404 Not Found". It doesn't route you to requested link.
Please give your inputs.
Thanks,
Suresh

Proxy!! I'm not sure. that shouldn't be an issue, as I have run the report from my machine with end user's user id. It throws the same error.

Inputs pls.
So it is the user that is different. What is the difference between you and the other user?

If I add a security group, this drilldown report doesn't run for users.

Do both reports (the one you are drilling from and the one you are drilling to) have the exact same security settings?
Yes, both reports have same security settings. The URL which is being passed to the child report is exceeding the Internet Explorer maximum URL length of 2048 characters. Because this URL contains all the vendor lines present in the Security group.
Your inputs pls.
I my opinion this is a Maximo issue with how they pass the vendor lines. The only thing I can think of is somehow to change how you are setting up the security groups so that less vendor lines are being passed.
