Memory Issue with 2.6.2

I am using Birt Runtime Engine 2.6.2 and Java Report Engine API to genrate excel based report(using tribix emitter).I have huge number of report which are scheduled daily morning(around 2500 excel reports).Report mainly fetch data from Mysql DB(with mysql Driver 5.1.7) and contains Tabular data and Graphs.What i observed once daily reports getting generated "used memory" memory of linux machine increased.Is there any memory issue with 2.6.2 and mysql db?
