Look at this design. Run in the web viewer.

Hi mike,
Thanks for your reply
It works perfectly for simple list report.
But when i used in some complex report it is not working,if i am not giving any page break interval .
Please give some solution.
Thanks
mwilliams
Unfortunately, with the page break issues in 2.3.2, I don't know that there will be any way around this without using the page break interval or by forcing page breaks in script, so that the end of page events happen. I'm guessing you're not able to upgrade to the newest version, where this is not an issue?
mwilliams
I should have clarified on my forcing in script idea. You could add script to your report to determine when you need to page break and force the page break yourself. That would also be an option.

Thanks mike
I have newest version of birt ,in birt 2.6.2 and above this bug is removed
but unfortunately i have to deploy reports in maximo thats y i develop reports in birt 2.3.2
mwilliams
You could always deploy a separate copy of BIRT and just call this deployment from your Maximo application. It wouldn't be a part of Maximo, like the other version, but you could do it.

So is it possible to call any version of birt report, from maximo 7.1.1.9 report administration...?
mwilliams
You would have to deploy the BIRT viewer separately, deploy your reports to it, and just make calls from your app to the report viewer. Since you'll need to design your reports in the newer version, which cannot be used from within Maximo, you'll also have to change the way you connect with your data, I believe. You'll need to get the JDBC driver and connect through a BIRT JDBC dataSource.
Does this help?

Hi Williams,
How do i call Actuate birt reports from maximo environment. Do you have any documentation for it...?
Thanks
mwilliams
BIRT reports can be called with Java using the APIs, a URL that calls the BIRT viewer, or the viewer can be embedded in another page, like JSP, using the tag library.
