Setting location of generated pages

Is there a way to have the file save as dialog open to
a preset location, instead of at the top of the workarea when
the Generate button is clicked ?

If memory serves correctly - the directory-regex is used to *validate* the path supplied - but not to *initialize* the directory browsing form. I think there are some feature requests on file for the latter - check with Interwoven Support.
