DATA DISPLAY PROBLEM
arunkumarb
HI All,
I created one report for PAYSLIP. Now I am displaying some components like BASIC, HRA, CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE,
MEDICAL ALLOWANCE, EDUCATION ALLOWANCE, SPECIAL ALLOWANCE etc....
S.NO| COMPONENT| VALUE |
| | |
1 | BASIC | 10000 |
2 | HRA |5000 |
3 | CA |2000 |
Now My requirement is if BASIC is zero, then I would like to display HRA in the position of BASIC.
If BASIC and HRA both are zeros then I want to display only CA in BASIC Position.
i.e.
S.NO| COMPONENT| VALUE |
| | |
1 | CA | 2000 |
plz help me.
Thanks in Advance,
Regards,
Arun

Depending on your layout, you should just be able to use the visibility property to hide the rows that are 0 or even possibly just filter the 0 values out. What is your layout like? Are all these value from the same dataset and displayed in a table or all separate elements?

Hi mwilliams,<br />
Thanks for ur reply. All values are from the same dataset and displayed in a table.

So, right now you're getting:
component value
Basic 0
HRA 5000
CA 2000
if Basic is 0 and you want
HRA 5000
CA 2000
??
If so, you should just be able to put a filter on your table or dataSet that is row["value"] "not equal to" 0.
