How can I Output the Runtime Version of BERT

I was wondering if there is a way of outputting the Version number of the BIRT Report Engine at runtime?

The reason behind this is that we have multiple environments and we need a way of ensuring that the right version of the Runtime Engine has been deployed.

Add a DynamicText box to your report and set the value to:
reportContext.getReportRunnable().getReportEngine().getVersion();

Tuck it out of the way in the footer and you can have it on every report.
