Scheduled reports using Birt

Can we have a scheduler in using the Birt reports <strong class='bbc'>with out </strong><strong class='bbc'>using</strong> a <strong class='bbc'>iserver</strong>. I need schedule the birt reports using the Birt viewer. If it is possible, let me know how to work on it else let me know alternate way to make out the schedule reports using open source birt.<br />
