Mac OSX - Safari incompatible with TeamSite?

While doing some compatibility testing on a new OSX Mac my unit aquired, I noticed that Mac's new browser, Safari, doesn't seem to work with TeamSite (only a . shows up...). If you view a page through iw-mount (click the filename...), and paste that URL into Safari, it works... but you can't view the WebDesk or WebDeskPro.

Has anyone else seen this as well? Any ideas?

Also.. while on the topic of Macs... I noticed that IE 5 on OSX doesn't seem to be able to Import Files or open the LaunchPad window when you click edit. Obviously it's a Java-related problem, and I have ensured that the latest Java build (1.4.1 I think) is running on that machine. It doesn't work with Netscape, Mozilla or IE on OSX....

Any ideas? we occasionally have freelance developers helping us out who use Macs...

Safari doesn't seem to support a number of things that other browsers (such as IE and Mozilla) do.
I've noticed some issues with LaunchPad in IE too but haven't had time to go through a full diagnosis and report them - I have noticed that LaunchPad seems to work fine from the SCE toolbar though ....

If you are using mac's and need support for them, please contact Interwoven Support. Without a real sense of how many customers require this, our product management / engineering / qa teams cannot really justify allocating resources to its support (they do try to test things where/when they can, but it's not as high a priority as most of the other OS's)

(I'm biased because I have a Mac - and I'd *love* it if I could get versions of our product to run natively on my G4 powerbook :-)

i'm working pretty hard on it here (getting it to work at all).

as far as java goes, the problem is with Teamsite's java - it is very dirty, and not Sun standards-compliant... the version in the latest version of X is superior to most implementations on Windows machines.

we'll see if they have the commitment to clean their code (both HTML and Java) to become more standards-compliant.

i'm hoping to find SOME solution here soon.

Our company too uses Mac with Interwoven -- most of our Marketing team are creative types. Safari uses Java 1.4.1 -- which is Sun compliant, and I'd point out Mac OS X is a Unix system. I've only found a few occasions where Safari fails to work with web apps - usually cause it's doing some ActiveX Microsoft propritary thing ... or it's just bad java code.
