Hi
I am using External report integration to call the birt 2.6.1 report from maximo .
i am done with calling the report without parameter ,now i need to call the report with parameter.
let us suppose Siteid is a parameter so i need to pass this as parameter.i made necessary changes in the customreport.jsp .but it is still not working .
i am getting output with table header only(no data)
regards

Can you attach your customreport.jsp? Also are you adding the parameter to report when adding the report using the report administration?

Hi mblock
I got it done .the problem was there with the maximo deployment.now,its working fine .
but i am statically declaring parameters required by the report in the customreport.jsp ,so i will have to change it every time the report changes(with different parameter requirement).
have a look at the file ,here i am statically declaring " STATUS " as required by the report.
Pls tell if i am not clear....

Unfortunately that is the way it needs to be done. This is the way ERI works with parameters. What I tend to do is add all the possible parameters to customreport.jsp. Calling a report with additional parameters does no harm.

Hi <br />
<br />
thanks a lot for help .<br />
<br />
can we use "if ...else" inside the customreport.jsp file and change the action url accordingly...that is name of the report should decide which one to call ...<br />
<br />

Sure, but that would require changing customreport.jsp for every report. Instead stick to some standard parameters and use them for all reports. Like I said there is no harm in sending more parameter than the report needs.

Read the documentation again. I specifically say for Maximo 6 you need to manually edit maximo.properties. See attached image.

You do not create it. It should already exists. I do not have Maximo 6 installed anymore so I cannot tell you the exact location but it should be under c:\IBM\SMP\Maximo (for a default installation). You need to add the lines in my wiki post. Once you edit the file you need to rebuild and redeploy the Maximo application.

In Maximo 7? No, but you can use ERI (External Report Integration) To use iServer instead. You will ne to license iServer from Actuate.<br />
<br />
Instructions for using ERI are here - <a class='bbc_url' href='

I hope I understood your question correctly.
