disable hyperlinks/drill through in charts

hello everyone

I had feedback from users that were confused when the drill-through in charts did not work anymore, after they saved the report as a pdf somewhere. Of course the relative links will point to non-existing files.

Is there a way to deactivate drill-through functionality when saving a report in pdf, xls,..?

I found this link but it doesn't work for hyperlinks in charts. How do I have to modify the chart/script?

What is your BIRT version? I don't get hyperlinks on my chart when I run it in PDF in 3.7.1. Let me know.

It might work if you do something like this in your onRender script for your chart:

function beforeGeneration( chart, icsc )
{
if (icsc.getExternalContext().getScriptable().getOutputFormat() == "pdf"){
chart.getInteractivity().setEnable(false);
}
}

In 3.7.1, this worked doing the opposite. I turned interactivity off and if the output format was not equal to pdf, I set the interactivity to true.
