Not able to get the session value

Hi,

I have a session variable in java class, in the BIRT script im trying to access the session value, im not able to get the session value. Its giving null value. Kindly help me out.

Are you using:

reportContext.getHttpServletRequest().getSession().getAttribute("yoursessionvar");

Yes, im using the same as mentioned above. Im using BIRT viewer to generate the reports.

Whether the BIRT viewer is invalidating the session?

Try adding a jsp page to the viewer that adds a variable to session, call it and then call the viewer with a data element that reads the session value.
