I am not able to see default directory in Y:
shahid
Hi,
I have installed Interwoven TeamSite 5.5.2 on Windows2000 sever. Everything seems OK. When I loging to the Teamsite and when I browse through I don't see any option to create a Banch/Workarea or Directory..
When I check the mount on Y: it's empty. There is no directory in that. But I can see the default directory in iw-store.
I tried all possible ways to solve this issue but no use..
If any one of you guys any idea about this please let me know and you help is highly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards

Hi,
By the sounds of things the service that controls the Y: is not running. I can't remember off hand what it is called - might be Teamsite Service. Unfortuntely you can't just restart that service in Windows. You need to reboot the machine.
That should hopefully bring up the Y: again.
If it doesn't then you will need to post some logs.

Hello,
I would agree that it sounds like a problem with the Teamsite service. On W2K the service is named "Interwoven Teamsite". If after a reboot the service still doesn't come up, I would suspect an invalid license key. I've seen this before on new installations of Teamsite. Be sure that the key is inserted in the [iwserver] section of iw.cfg. You may also need to regenerate a new key from support.interwoven.com to be sure you have a good one.

One of the reasons why the Y: drive doesnt come could be coz ...after installing the teamsite it tries to look for all the domains associated with teh teamsite....a drop down which u typically see under the roles...
U can disable that in iw.cfg so that it doesnt have to browse through the entire network to find the list of the available domains....which is time consuming...
go to iw.cfg and disable this and see if it works..
this should work..
