Pie Chart : Showing a 3rd Value ?
THBG
Hi,<br />
<br />
I created a Pie Chart based on query Data Set which returns the following data :<br />
<br />
<span style='font-family: Courier New'><pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>
VALUES PCT COUNT
Value1 40,44 476
Value2 19,03 224
Value3 17,92 211
Value4 16,73 197
Value5 4,16 49
Value6 1,44 17
Value7 0,16 2
Value8 0,08 1</pre></span><br />
<br />
To fill the Pie Chart I take the VALUES et PCT columns and everything works fine.<br />
<br />
My goal would be to show also the 3rd column into the Series Label like this :<br />
<strong class='bbc'> Current display : .
Value1 40,44%<br />
Desired display : .
Value1 40,44% (<span style='color: #FF0000'>476</span>)</strong><br />
<br />
I played around the "Series Labels" panel and add/remove "Values" without success.<br />
<br />
Thanks !<br />

BIRT has the ability to come up with the percents on its own, so if you used the values and the counts in your pie chart, you could just modify the labels to show the Category Data, the Percentile Value Data, and the Value Data. You'd just make the separator a space and make a custom format for the Value Data of (#) to make it be surrounded by parentheses. Take a look at the attached report. It was made in BIRT 3.7.1.

In the above report, look in the format chart section of the chart editor under value series -> labels.
Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks a lot Michael !
You're right, I computed percentage myself which is useless and did not give me the "Data Value" access.
Your reply and example gave me the solution.
Thanks again !
