Display of Logo in an excel report

HI
We are currently using BIRT version 3.7.1.
Is there any workaround to get the Logo displayed when the report is exported to excel.
Please help!

Hi Srikala,
I feel,its not possible to do so with default birt excel emitter.But we can add image to excel using native excel emitter which is implemented using Apache POI API. You can download the same from
http://code.google.com/a/eclipselabs.org/p/native-excel-emitter-birt-plugin/downloads/list.Using
this emitter,we can generate either XLS/XLSX files if number of records per page is your concern.And size of the excel file will be less since it gives binary format(default emitter gives XML format).

Yes,Srikala.We had same requirement(having logo in master page) and achieved it using native excel emitter.

Thank you very much , it worked for us. But will it also work in 3.7.1 version of Ecclipse, Coz we have developed our reports using this version.

This excel emitter is not taking care of the hyperlinks. We had a hyperlink in the footer of the master page and its not displayed when exported to excel.<br />
Is there anything that we can do to acheive this. Please help.<br />

don't support graphical elements in headers/footers</a> (because they are converted to Excel headers/footers).<br />

With a recent change the SpudSoft Excel emitters now support images in headers.
To turn this on you have to set the RenderOption "ExcelEmitter.StructuredHeader" to TRUE (or create a boolean UserProperty on the report with the same name).
With ExcelEmitter.StructuredHeader set to TRUE headers and footers will be output in rows/cells on each sheet.
With ExcelEmitter.StructuredHeader set toe FALSE (or absent) headers and footers will be coerced into text and used to set the page header/footer in Excel.

(Kinda unsure if I am doing it right though). But still the image in the header is not displaying in my Excel report. Am I missing anything?</p><p> </p><p>Thank you,</p>
