Controlling Bar/Line Chart Plotted Colors

I've been using the following code (in the onRender script area of the individual chart) to control the legend and 'slice' colors for Pie charts:

This works perfectly with Pie charts; however, for both Bar and Line charts it only properly controls the colors of the Legend items (not the actual plotted data). This leads me to believe that I must somehow modify the beforeDrawDataPoint function. 
 
Any ideas?

The beforeDrawDataPoint is the right place and your code looks ok to me. My immediate thought is that somehow none of your 'if' conditions are being met. 
 
(I'm sure there's a classier way to do this but...) 
As a sanity check, I'd send dph.getDisplayValue to an output file and make sure you're dealing with the values you think you're dealing with. Create a datapoints.txt file on your C drive (or wherever you want it) and then drop this code snippet into the beforeDrawDataPoint function

out = new PrintWriter( new FileWriter( "c:/datapoints.txt", true ) );

Thanks for the help!

The code snippet you provided worked perfectly; when inserting that into the Pie chart version, it returns the status values (Approved, Closed, Submitted), as we would expect. However, when inserting that into the Bar or Line chart versions, it actually returns the categories (A,B,C,D,E in the attached screenshot).

Since you're using a stacked chart you'll want to evaluate the Y Series values instead of the base values. I think the following will work for you.
