Can you explain more? Are you wanting to know how to create a crosstab using java? Or how to create a crosstab in the designer and then deploy the report using java? Let me know.

How to create a crosstab in the designer and then deploy the report using java?<br />
<br />
I need to create dynamic columns based on dates present.<br />
<br />
For e.g. Start Date: 01-Jan-2012 and End Date: 31-Jan-2012 <br />
So I need to create 31 columns, the start date and end date may change as it is an user input.

To create a crosstab, you must first create a dataCube. Right click on Data Cubes in your data explorer and create a new cube. You'll put your date field and whatever field will define your rows (if any) into the dimensions area and whatever field will be the data field, in the measures area. Now, you can drag a crosstab out from the palette. Expand your newly created data cube and drag the measure field to the measure area, your row dimension to the row dimension area, and the column dimension to the column dimension area. Your crosstab is now complete.
The parameters that the user enters to limit the dataSet will also limit your crosstab. As for running the report using java code, what is your BIRT version?
