Is this just for HTML output? If so, you could set bookmarks for the sections of the second table and use client side script in a text element to control the visibility of the sections when you click on the show details button for the first table. Another way would be to drill through to the same report onClick of a value in the first table and pass the value clicked as a parameter and use the parameter to limit your second table data to the correct data. Hope this helps.

i think the first option is more sutable for me.
can you give me please example how to do so?

What is your BIRT version?
marinTz
my version is 3.7.
i would be glad to see example.
the solution you suggest here is that the second table will have all the data and do the filter in the client side.
is there also a way on the selection of the first table to rerun the second report(i mean server side), and dinamiclly to change the second filter acording first table selection.?

You can embed BIRT reports into JSP pages with the tag library, so you could maybe embed a master and detail report into separate windows in a jsp and rerun just the second window.
The suggestion that I had first was to include the entire table, but just change the display property of the section of the detail table that you want to see when you click in the first table.
