syzack
hi
Supposing in case of server crash, can you tell me the procedure how to copy the branch data/workarea data from iw-store.

Can you provide more information for this problem / scenario?
What happened? What are you trying to do (just retrieve the data - or ressurect the backing store somewhere else like a different partition)?
Again (as per your other thread) - restoration from backup is your best bet.

hi,
Actually the scenerio is like this...
If suppose due to some reason, the content gets deleted from iw-mount, so in order to make the teamsite to show up the branches and workareas, i want to transfer the files from iw-store to iw-mount, so that all the branches shows up correctly...

syzack,
iw-mount is TeamSite's representation of the information in iw-store. If you delete a branch from iw-mount, you're deleting it from iw-store. And as fish mentioned in the other thread, if you've deleted a branch, the only way to restore it is from your companies file system backups (not built into TeamSite). If you don't know if your company has a backup procedure in place, talk to the admin of your box and keep your fingers crossed.

See my post in the other thread about restoring from backup. If you've only deleted one branch, unless you've frozen the backing store since the branch was deleted, you probably don't want to restore the backup over the top of the active backing store. Because this will wipe out changes made since the backup. Instead restore the backup to a new store, so you can migrate the deleted content back into your backing store and keep the recent changes.
Of course for this to work you must _have_ a backup.
