Strange behavior on "onPageBreak" (table item) ?

Hello,

I'd like to create a table of contents with pages (there's 3 tables on my rptdesign file and I'd like to show the page number of the begining of those tables), I've seen a lot of rptdesign files displaying TOC on this website but each time it only works with the webviewer...

I'm using:

Packages.java.lang.System.out.println ("Hello World");

because I'd like to debug my birt (you can watch here if you don't know "println" -> http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/forum/index.php/topic/20633-debugging-birt-javascript/)

And when I generate a 4 pages PDF file, I see :

I m initialize
I m onPageBreak

instead of

I m initialize
I m onPageBreak
I m onPageBreak
I m onPageBreak
I m onPageBreak

Every pageBreak of the table are "Auto" (before, after and inside). I have to use them like this for a report.

Do you have any idea?

If you switch your layout to fixed vs auto, you'll get your 3 "I m onPageBreak"s. Hope this helps.

Oh, sorry. I didn't see that you were running PDF. I'll take a look at that. If you run it in the web viewer, with the change, you see what you're wanting.

If you go to window -> preferences, then go to the preview section under report design, and choose to always use external browser, it'll run the report in your default browser. If you run to pdf, you'll see that it uses "preview" in the URL. If you change this to frameset and then run it, you'll get your desired output in the console.
