Is there any way to cache dataset results or report data in BIRT? My reports are taking a long time to run so I'm looking for options to speed it up. Any suggestions?

You could build a query that selects the data used for the report and save it as a table in the db. Then you could schedule that job to run periodically so the table data was always fresh. Reports run from a single table will be much faster.

You can also look into data objects depending on how you serve up your BIRT reports.
