Default Date Parameter

Hi,

How to Set the default date as current date in the Parameter so please suggest me as soon as possible .

Example:- when i was running the report means , I need to display the date parameter as "todays date"

In the Data Parameter, set the Default Value expression to <pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>new Date();</pre>

i need thorugh java script function below like this

BirtDateTime.firstDayOfYear(BirtDateTime.today())

the above script is it will display the first day of the year . same thing i need to display the current date in the parameter ,so please advice as soon as possible .
