How to prevent multiple time Execution of same Query

i am very new to birt Tool


i am facing problem with Reports Query execution

my scenario is


i have two reports daily and hourly , when ever i click on daily report (on date cell) it should navigate to hourly report of that date, in hourly report i created one label (back) and add hyperlink to it, to navigate to daily, here my problem is , every time i dont want to fire daily report query ,

could you some suggestion on it.

If, when you ran your daily report, you could save a copy of it and have the hourly reports link back to the saved version, that might work.

Or, you could write a third report that uses the report document that is created by the first run of the daily report as the datasource. You'd make it look just like the daily report, only you'd use the first daily report's data, instead of running the query again. You'd just need to use this plug-in, from the Marketplace.
