refresh on VFE loses data

Sorry if someone has already posted this. If I use FormAPI to redraw a page (such as to make a drop-down read-only after the file is saved), if there is a VFE field on that page the data that was entered/changed in it is lost. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Hi John,

We are getting the exact same problem here. We enter content into the VF field (it is not inline but a callout). It returns the data to the field. We then select a drop-down and do a page redraw. This then causes the VF field to lose its data.

Did you ever find a solution to this?
