How to set sort condition using BIRT DEAPI

Hi,

I am using BIRT 3.7.2. While setting sort condtion using design API, i am getting following error while running report:

How can i pass the sort criteria.

Hi,

I tried to add sort in property handle also

void addSortKey(TableHandle th){
try{
SortKey sk = structFactory.createSortKey();
//sk.setKey("row[\"CustomerName\"]");
sk.setDirection(DesignChoiceConstants.SORT_DIRECTION_ASC);
sk.setKey("row[\"ROLLOUT_ID\"]");

PropertyHandle ph = th.getPropertyHandle(TableHandle.SORT_PROP);
ph.addItem(sk);
}catch (Exception e){
e.printStackTrace();
}
}

But my excel report is not coming in sorted order. Please provide help on this.

Try using something like the following instead:

importPackage (Packages.org.eclipse.birt.report.model.api.simpleapi);

var sortCondition = SimpleElementFactory.getInstance().createSortCondition();

sortCondition.setKey("row[\"CUSTOMERNAME\"]");
sortCondition.setDirection("asc");

this.addSortCondition(sortCondition);

I have added above code into table OnPrepare method, and getting the report in sorted order, if i am designing the report using designer, but if i am setting the same parameter using BIRT design Engine API, the same is not working correctly.
