eliminate whitespaces from xml datasource

HI,

I am using datasource as XML Data Source, the XML has whitespaces for a value eg:<value> (12344)</value> in the report output dataSetrow is showing null value. How can I eliminate the white space and print value in column.

the tag in xml has value like <order> (1234)</order>, i.e many empty spaces and then value. Can please help me with script to eliminate those whitespaces.
