Hi,

which version of BIRT are you using? Commercial or OpenSource? The opensource version of the Excel emitter won't export any graphs to excel. It is programmed in a way that it just skips all graphs and images, so that it is missing in the resulting output file.
You will have to use some other third party excel emitter plugin that is able to export images and graphs to excel.
Have a look at tribix: http://tribix.sourceforge.net/

Hi,

Last version of our Arctorus XLSX/XLS BIRT Emitter can export live charts to Excel. That is native Excel charts so you can open spreadsheet later and change charts if necessary. All charts which can't be created natively in Excel will be exported as images. We are currently working on improving chart styles and formatting.
