date slider for filter reports

Hi,

I need to filter the reports in the dashboard on the weekly,quarterly,half yearly and daily basis.Need help to achieve this type of filtration of report in the Birt i server.

I tried to create separate slider for that but i am unable to do the linking in the birt i server.
Please help me out with the appropriate approaches for this as this for the client POC and bring lot of business for us.

Hi Tech M,
Are you using Report Gadget or Data Visualization Gadget to link with the slider? I am able to use a slider gadget to filter data in a table gadget. Can you share your dashboard (with sample data) that illustrates the issue?

Actually, using separate gadgets for daily,weekly and yearly basis i am able to filter the report.But need filter given in component art.Link for that is mentioned below:-

Please let me know the feasible approach for the filter given in the link in the Birt iServer.As time for my POC is running out need quick response with solutions ASAP.

The slider (dual) gadget comes pretty close to the filter in the example link that you shared. Have you tried that?

I am now using the JSAPI approach.Need to know how i can implement the slider with the different reports .
Is linking possible between slider and report design using JSAPI.

The gadget linking is achieved using pub/sub model that works within the dashboard framework. Is this BIRT report outside of this dashboard ?

Actually i am calling the reportdesign directly from the iserver using JSAPI.Now I want to create a date selection slider from some javascript and then have to link that slider with the reports which i called from the iserver using JSAPI.

Need to know how can i achieve this linking of my slider with the reports called using JSAPI.

You can create your own custom parameter collector and connect your BIRT report with that, here is an example:
