We have unique requirement in which client wants to run the report, while running this report a copy of this must go to the client default local printer..
Can we achive this using BIRT scripting...??

Can you add a text element to the end of the report that has its type set to html and then enter the following
<script language="JavaScript">
setTimeout(function() { window.print(); }, 3000);
</script>

Hi Jason,
when i tried this it gave a window where i have to click on print.
But i dont want this clicking.
I just want when this report runs it should go directly to the deafault printer of the client machine, without clicking print button(silent print)
can i achieve this...??

I do not have an example of doing this, but you can call the Java APIs directly in script. So if you have an example of printing from Java you should be able to call it. You may want to read over this thread.
