How to handle XML datasource binding if webservice returns different XML structure.

I have created one datasource with XML datasource using property binding using <br />
encodeURI("<a class='bbc_url' href='http://localhost/test/getdata?Param1='>http://localhost/test/getdata?Param1="</a&gt; + params["Param1"].value);<br />
The webservice returns XML in format <br />
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Data>
<Row><GroupNo>1</GroupNo><Value>1</Value></Row></Data>
</pre>
<br />
If there is any error , it returns <br />
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Error>
<No>1</No><Value>XXXXX</Value></Error>
</pre>
<br />
HOw should I handle dataset binding with different XML structure.

Does your report throw errors when the structure changes? Or is just nothing returned?
