Retrieve out parameters in reports?

The stored procedure have out parameters. When out parameters are accessed from report, it is not getting displayed.

In the data element, when we go the expression builder and choose the avialabe data set, the out variable is getting displayed. When it is dragged and placed inside the report, the value is not getting displayed.

How to make the report display the out parameter. Any ideas / references would be of great help.

So, you can select the output parameter in the expression builder, but you don't ever see the value actually displayed? Is this correct? What is your BIRT version and what is the expression that the expression builder is using?

Sorry for the delay on responding to this. Is the dynamic textbox you're trying to view the parameter in, after a report element that is bound to the dataSet? If not, maybe the issue is that since the dataSet hasn't run, the output parameter hasn't been set. Let me know.

Using the out parameters in the data element which is placed in the row of a table.

It seems that the dataset is not getting called. Kindly let me know what will be issue or ideas to make the dataset getting called.

If you put a hidden text element bound to the dataSet you need to run, prior to the others, at the top of your report, it should run first. If the dataSet in question is being used for the current table, this probably won't help. Let me know.
