Data cube filtering from a data file

I have create a data file using data cube design. We want to use the data file from server as the source
and filter the data based on parameters? How can this be acheived the filters doesnt seem to work. Is there a script overwriting that need to be done?

Hi Birtnewbe,
Are you using data object in a BIRT report? If so, you need to define a parameter in the BIRT Design (rptdesign), then in the filters section of the data set you can create an filter expression to point to the parameter.
