How to sort the columns in a table. Any ideas / references would be of great help.

Do you mean to sort the table by a certain column field? Or to sort the order in which the columns appear in the table? Let me know.

What's your BIRT version? I'll make an example, in your version, that allows you to drill through to the current report sorted by the field you click on.

Take a look at the example in this thread. It was made in BIRT 2.6.0, but should run ok in your version. Let me know if it doesn't.
