Auto-layout pdf export not good as Birt Viewer

I'm a newbie in BIRT but I googled a lot to understand how it renders the values in the columns.<br />
I'm using BIRT-RCP-DESIGNER 3.7.2. <br />

The layout is auto and the width also. In the Master Page I putted landscape A4.<br />
I tried also with the inline style but it doesn't change anything. I tried also with custom!

in BIRT 3.7.2 the layout preference works as follows:
Fixed layout means that width and height are fixed which means that if you have defined with or height for an element it will exactly show up as defined.

Auto Layout is a bit more complicate:
a) non paper formats (html):
Width and height can be dynamic. If you configured width or height it is defined as minimum.

b ) paper formats (PDF, DOC,...)
Width is always fixed. BIRt will never automatically increase the width of an element. The only difference is in the height. If you have defined the height of an element BIRt will interpret it as minimum height.

The issue you are seeing is because of b ) You most likely defined a width for the first column. BIRT will always interpret it as a must in PDF regardless of the layout preference. You have multiple options: Delete width of a few columns in the crosstab to make BIRT try a different combination of column widths. Increase width of first column to fit the content.
