Can BIRT generate JSON data

Hi,
I understand that BIRT can generate reports in HTML, PDF, CSV, etc formats. The question is can it generate just JSON data.

I am exploring the possibility of driving my web application's dashboard with data generated by BIRT. I'd appreciate if someone could confirm. Thanks in advance.

Not out of the box, but it would be pretty easy to write an emitter to do this. Take a look at this post:
